Countdown to NYC

Less than one week until I leave my job of (almost) nine years. Not sure why I've decided to have a career crisis during a Recession but that's what happened.  I am off to New York City of July 11th to try my hand at cooking school (the Natural Gourmet Institute).  It's only for two weeks so I'm not going to end up on the Food Channel but you never know what will inspire you in life.  If nothing else I'll learn lots of new vegetarian recipes to try at home.  After that I will enjoy the rest of the summer in Maine then probably start my own accounting practice in September.  I have vowed never to work for anyone ever again!  I may also have to take a vow of poverty to fulfill that promise!  Check back on July 12th - my first day of cooking school - and I will fill you in on how it is going.
